How to add data to existing generated report?
Alex_C

I have generated report by first_user (for ex. in PDF format)

Then second_user need append data to existing generated report by first_user, i.e. regenerate original report , add second_user data, but the first_user data does not need to change.

The data source using in report template is XML datasource

How to implement this using BIRT?

What version of BIRT are you using?

Could you provide more details about what needs to be added by the second user?

Is it the same data set but with different filters?
Same report elements/layout?

I use BIRT 4.2.2

Second_user have to add some other data of String type to the same layout, i.e. there is a report template wich have some fields where users need to put data. Some fields reserved for first_user, other - for second_user.

Yes, I use one XML DataSource.

In the case of PDF format, there is not a way native in BIRT to append multiple PDF outputs together.

If you can use the rptdocument output, you can look into implementing the report document ODA: <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='

;

This allows you to use a report document as a data source.
