using @font-face in a style definition

<p>I defined a table style in a Birt design, its style shows up as inline css when published via iHub.</p>
<p>I would like to use a webfont as the font.</p>
<p>How do I add @font-face to a style definition or report? Can it be done?</p>

<p>or alternatively: would it better to copy my table style to an external css file to be deployed at runtime?</p>
