executereport.do calling .rox to then display the roi

We have a report that was developed using e.Report Designer Professional 11 Service Pack 3 that has 1 parameter that we would like to call from a java application to the existing .rox, pass the parameter and then display the generated .roi. We have it working where we can display an existing .roi using viewreport.do from java. When we try using executereport.do we get an error that says cannot get report parameters because no jobid or report file specified. Here is an part of what has been tried.

Can this be done with an ROX? Call Test.ROX passing 999999 then Display the TEST_999999.roi?

Can you provide more details about your configuration?
You say from java, can you be more specific about how you are using the URL in java?
 
Can you provide a sample of your code and the full error you receive?

We use Java 1.7 and a Java function that composes the URL. In our working reports the URL accesses the ROI directly and displays. Now we need to be able to run the rox with the passed parameter on demand. (instead of having the .rox scheduled)

Where acqc is the Actuate console (which uses the same userid and password that the webqc.com used).
We were hoping we could do something similar with executing the rox and then displaying the roi.

The error we get when we try this is :Message from webpage 
3412:Cannot get reportparameters because no job id or report file specified

For the syntax for executereport.do, you will need two underscores in front of both requesttype and executableName.
 
If you want to bypass the parameters page, you would include (no underscores) invokesubmit=true.
