Export to word send style information

I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to send style information when exported to word .docx. When the word doc is opened I would like to be able to have certain text formatted with the built in Word styles, i.e. heading so that I can insert a table of contents and table of figures with out having to manually format ask of those sections.
