Problem with Dynamic Image
yaragallamurali

Hi I have a table in the database with 3 columns. The three 3 columns are

employee Name

employee designation

employee image

The 3rd column is a blob.

In my report i have a table with 3 detail rows. in one of the row I have placed employee name, employee designation, employee image. The problem with this is i am getting employee name and designation right. But the employee image is not right. In all the places i am getting the first employee image instead of appropriate employee image. I am using dynamic image.

what could be the problem?

This issue could occur because of how the design is defined.

Could you post your report design?

Or replicate the issue with the classic models database and post that example for us to see how the design is defined?

My rpt design file is attached. In the second table of this file you can see the consultant name, Consultant degree and image file. I am talking about that image.

I believe the issue is because the grid element that is holding the image element is bound to a data set (See GridBindingToBeRemoved.png)

Because the Grid element does not iterate through data, only the first image will appear (Same as you described previously as the issue)

If you remove the binding for the Grid element (change Binding Data Set in Step 2 to "None") then add the blob binding to the table element (See AddSignatureFileBlobToTableBinding.png), you should now be able to edit the image to use the containers binding (See SetImageToContainerBlob.png) which will iterate through the data rows and display a new image per row.

Let me know if doesn't work for you.
