Hi,
 
I have a report with multiple report elements (tables, charts etc.) I need to make a REST call for each of these report elements.
 
For this I have a map with -
Key - reportelement_id
Value - json (to be sent in REST call)
 
This REST call needs to be made through the open() event of the dataset whose columns are mapped with the report element.
 
Dataset open() is getting called for every report element but I need to know for which particular report element it is getting called at a particular time. This is so that i can pick json for that particular report element from the map and send it across in the REST call.
 
Can you please guide me how to know dataset open() event is called for which report element?

for taking data from json i will suggest to firstly retrieve data in Java Class
 
Then from this class you can pass the list to the rptdesign file from Scripted Data Source and can just drag and drop from the data set to report

In report we are using scripted data source ( from external data design file ) and in report lets say we have 2 tables mapped with same data set.
At runtime each table will have it's own separate call for the data set and now the requirement can i get a reference of tables inside the data set or data source events i.e. open/before open.
 
I need a refernce report element id, name anything through which i can determine that this time this call has come from table1 or table 2.
 
And i can't put any script on table's event.

Let's say there is a report report.rptdesign and dataobject data.dataDesign (Which includes a scripted data source and dataset)
 
Inside this report.rptdesign i have included 2 report element i.e table table1 & table2 and both are bounded with data set.
 
As per event execution order during report execution, open/beforeopen event of dataset will be invoked individually for both the tables for getting the data.
 
In open/beforeopen event of data set, i want to know the current event call is for which table to get the data.
 
P.S. : Reference of report element with which this data set is bounded inside open/beforeopen event
