How can I align Y1 and Y2 y-axis to the same 0 point in a bar chart
jshaw

I have a bar chart with y1 and y2 axis; the quantities on each scale are very different but both cross through 0. However the 0 levels don't align so the bars start at different positions on the chart and it looks very odd.

Can i force the 0 levels of each axis to occur at the same point directly in BIRT 4.4.0, or do i have to scale the min/max for each in code?

Under the "Auto" setting you can set the min or max of both scales and leave the other blank. That will keep one of the boundaries aligned but obviously this inly works only if you want the alignment at the top or bottom. If you need it aligning in the middle then you will need to do that via code.
