BIRT 3.7.1 and Actuate XLS emitter

edMervich

We have BIRT 3.7.1 installed. Performance on XLS exports is pretty slow. I see that what happens is a relatively small XLS document turns into a huge XML file during creation, which then seems to eat up all the memory on our server. Is there a difference between the open source XLS emitters and the Actuate XLS emitters?
