I'm using DAS with oracle oci driver
when using metadata search I got the following error

Hi Diago
This is a bit of a "wild stab in the dark" however it might be worth investigating if no one comes up with anything better.
Could it be that certain Oracle environment variables are missing from the session in which TeamSite / Metadata Search / iwui is running.
This might explain why it runs when you execute it from the command line. Unless you were executing from the command line as iwui?

Michael is right on this the search CGI does not have the environment variables required to run with OCI drivers. You might want to modify the perl script iwdd.ipl to add the environment variables required to run oracle OCI and try it.

The place you would need to change is in the subroutine sub dd_prep() where environment variables like LD_LIBRARY_PATH are set
$ENV{LD_LIBRARY_PATH}=$g_ld_library_path.":".$existing_ld_path;

Try this, change path according to your platform
my $ocipath = "E:\\Oracle\\ora92\\bin;";
$ENV{PATH} = $ocipath.$ENV{PATH};
my $orahome = "E:\\Oracle\\ora92";
$ENV{ORACLE_HOME}=$orahome;
