Absolute positioning of elements in report

Hi,
I have a requirement to position the report elements based on X,Y positions.
The details of the requirement is that I need to design the report only to print some values on a pre-printed paper. For this, the values should be placed in a fixed positions and it will be a single page report.

In BIRT there is no real X,Y positions. Everything is relative to the previous position. My recommendations is as follows:
<ol><li>Make sure you use fixed layout.</li>
<li>Use grids to position everything as you need.</li>
<li>Make sure your master pages is the right size and has the right margins for your form.</li>
<li>Make sure all cells have padding of 0.</li>
<li>Size everything in inches/mm (depending on US Letter or A4).</li>
<li>Test, test, and test more to make sure it will work on all variations.</li>
