Display Arabic Font in Birt Report

For a project we require to pull up an Arabic string in UTF-8 from the database and display it in one of the column header's of the report. Currently it showing the UTF-8 string as stored in the db.
 
Please guide me through the correct procedure.

BIRT is Unicode compliant. If the data is really coming back in UTF-8 and the font supports Arabic than it will be displayed correctly. See attached image and report design (it uses a UTF-8 text file so you can run it your self).

Thank you, Mica! Do we need to set up a locale and font for Arabic separately in any configuration file? If so how? Thank you in advance!

You need a font that supports the Unicode characters. In my case I used Sans Serif. No locale needs to be set. I use en_US.
