<p>You referenced Actuate? So you're using commercial BIRT? What version are you using?</p>
<p> </p>
<p>What's the ultimate goal? What will the end report look like? What format (HTML, PDF, etc...) will it be deployed? </p>
<p> </p>
<p>There are several options: using a symbol font in your report (<a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='
http://blogs.opentext.com/extend-birt-with-font-symbols-code/'>blog
here</a>), using SVG Dynamic Graphics (<a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='
http://developer.actuate.com/community/forum/index.php?/files/file/904-adding-dynamic-svg-graphics/'>DevShare
here</a>), or using a Custom Visualization Report Item (<a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='
http://developer.actuate.com/community/forum/index.php?/files/file/1120-ihub-31-custom-visualization-examples/'>DevShare
examples</a> and <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='

of New Features</a>) available since iHub 3.1.</p>

<p>Hi Clement,</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I am using attached version of BIRT : birtdesigner.jpg</p>
<p> </p>
<p>And the output should be in attached manner : actuate_report_arrow.jpg</p>
<p> </p>
<p>So was looking that how can we use arrows in birt as there is no direct arrow component.</p>

<p>What format (HTML, PDF, etc...) will it be deployed to your end users? Your first screenshot looks like Excel.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Are the three boxes different grids/tables, or one chart/visualization? Is this dynamic (# of parent and child nodes can change)?</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Adding to my previous list of options of using a symbol font in your report (<a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='
http://blogs.opentext.com/extend-birt-with-font-symbols-code/'>blog
here</a>), using SVG Dynamic Graphics (<a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='
http://developer.actuate.com/community/forum/index.php?/files/file/904-adding-dynamic-svg-graphics/'>DevShare
here</a>), or using a Custom Visualization Report Item (<a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='
http://developer.actuate.com/community/forum/index.php?/files/file/1120-ihub-31-custom-visualization-examples/'>DevShare
examples</a> and <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='
http://www.actuate.com/download/whitepapers/BIRT-iHub-3-1-TSNF.pdf#page=7'>Summary
of New Features</a>) available since iHub 3.1, you can also use pre-rendered image(s) and also tap into the commercial BIRT HTML5 Charts and use the renderer (<a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='
http://api.highcharts.com/highcharts#Renderer'>HighCharts
docs</a> and <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='
http://jsfiddle.net/gh/get/jquery/1.9.1/highslide-software/highcharts.com/tree/master/samples/highcharts/demo/renderer/'>jsFiddle
demo</a>).</p>
