Scatterplot groupings and labels

I'm having some difficulties figuring out how to solve a problem regarding scatter plots, series, and labels.
 
Background: I have to work with only one (1) data set. I can design the layout of this data set myself, but it should be somewhat easy to figure out such that a "normal person" would be able to understand the layout.
 
Essentially, I'm plotting the relationship between the risk of investment solutions, and their returns. So the column layout of the data set might look like this:

company, product, risk, return

Where company is the company name (e.g. Google Investments), product the name of the company product (e.g. "A+"), risk the amount of risk as a decimal, and return is the expected return on investment as a decimal. So a sample row could look like this:

</pre>
What I need: A scatter plot that shows each risk/return points and where each company has its own color and icon, but where the labels are of the format company + " " + solution. 
 
What I have so far: I've experimented with the grouping tool on the "Select Data" part of the chart builder, and that gets me as far as each company having its own color and icon, but the labels are only containing the company name.
 
If anyone has any input or experiences with similar problems, I would love to hear how you solved them

Where does the column "solution" in your label come from? You only referenced the following columns: company, product, risk, return.
 
Since you are using commercial BIRT, I'm assuming you're using the HTML5 Chart Report Item?
 
Attached is a sample of having a scatter plot with return on X, risk on Y, using the "Optional Y Series Groupping" option so that each company will have its own color.
 
In the attached example, I changed the "Optional Y Series Groupping" from row["Company"] to row["Company"] + " " + row["Product"].
 
Then, enabled labels on the Y Series and used "Value Series Name" as the value.
 
Since the HTML5 Charts are based on HighCharts, there are also many HTML5 Chart events that can be added to customize the look and feel of the chart. If the sample doesn't help you, please attach a mock-up of what you would like it to look like and we'll figure it out.

Thank you for your reply, and please excuse my late one.
 
I'm sorry I forgot to mention that I'm required to solve this problem in the SVG output format. Also; where I wrote "solution" I meant to write "product" - sorry for the confusion.
 
I took a look at your attachment, and It's close to what I need; the problem is that I have multiple "products" from the same companies. My data set could consist of the following rows:

('Google', 'A', 0.5, 0.4),
('Google', 'B', 0.3, 0.60),
('Apple', 'Gold', 0.40, 0.35),
('Apple', 'Silver', 0.35, 0.50)
</pre>
I have attached an extension of your original file, and inserted a new graph below based on a new data set.
 
My problem is then to label, color, and "iconize" these points correctly. The ideal solution is to have all Google points with the same icon and color, and the label 'Google A' and 'Google B', or 'Apple Gold' and 'Apple Silver'.
 
I hope it makes sense.

Thanks for clarifying. Attached is a revised design based on your new requirements.
 
1. Created a new Data Binding in the Chart Report Item that concatenates Company, space, Product.
2. Changed Optional Y Series Grouping to that new binding
3. Overwritten two events: beforeDrawDataPoint and beforeDrawLegendItem
 
This looks at the previous value and compares to set the fill previous color. Need to do this for both the point's label and the legend's label fill color.

My last challenge was to assign each company its own marker type. For anyone curious, I solved it with this short script in the onRender event:
