Force group footer location to bottom of page
stratega

Hi,

There are some posts on this subject but they are fairly old and don't work for my situation, which is:

Have a footnote with Visibility based on content

Data within the body of the report is variable (multiple sections that each have visibility based on content present), so can not "calculate" a vertical white-space size - at least not one that would be timely to develop or reliable.

Data is within a List Group. I don't see options in the Footer or Group Footer to force the footnote to the bottom of the page.

Content will always fit within one page (if that makes a difference).

I'm using 3.7.2

Need the footnote to display at the bottom of the page if present (based on Visibility expression)

Thanks

Will the attached sample work for you? In the onCreate event of the detail row, we look for a specific value and set a PersistentGlobalVariable (PGV). In the example, it's "USA" where the PGV is set and we won't display a footer. If you run with "UK", you'll get a footer.

In the Master Page Footer, I added a grid with a label. In the onRender event of the grid, I added code to hide the grid it the PGV is set.

If you have dynamic text from your body you would like to use in your footer, you can use another PGV and set it in the onCreate of the footer. Then in the label's onRender, you can set this.text = reportContext.getPersistentGlobalVariable("myVar");
