Calculate time between data from different rows and columns

Hello all!
 
I started to use Report Designer 1 month ago and I love it!
 
Sadly I'm struggling with the situation where I have to calculate the difference between two time data from two columns that are generated in a table, in different rows.
 
I added a link with a graphic representation of what i have to calculate. (the attachment was not working properly on the forum)

Stage 1,2,3,4,5 are separate rows fetched with a query. START TIME#1 is not from the same table (dataset) but i created a joint dataset.
 
If i use column binding (data binding) it will generate the same result on all the rows... (MINUTES OFF)

One solution is to use a variable to hold on to the start time of data set 1 and the finish time of each row of data set 2. In the attached sample, which uses two flat files that replicate your data, I have created a report variable called "keepStartTime". In the table at the top that displays Data Set1, I added a line of script in the onCreate method of the StartTime data item to hold that value in variable keepStartTime. I did the same thing in the FinishTime data item of the bottom table. Finally, I added a data item called MinutesOff where I calculate the difference between StartTime and keepStartTime.
