Can not reuse a file name from a file that was deleted
System
Hi,
We have an user that deleted a DCR file and submitted to Staging. He then tried to recreate a DCR and save it with the same file name. He got "This file is not accessible" error. This forced the user to user to use a different file name. Have you run into this kind of odd thing?

Did the user have the "overwrite" option selected when they submitted? If not, then the file is still there, hidden with a "delete flag".

Hi,
To fix this issue, I tried using iwsubmit with the following syntax:
iwsubmit -x -c 'submit' -i 'info' /default/main/INTERNET/WWW/WORKAREA/live_work/templatedata/content/genericHTML/test.iwdcr 'file'
It displays error message "ERROR:02401: File or directory is the same as the other version". Am I on the right track to fix this issue?
MattP
Yes, I think you are on the right track. the flag "-x" is to overwrite. You can achieve this in the GUI by selecting the file, selecting the overwrite option in the top right, then choosing submit or submit direct. if you use view->modified files, you can see the deleted files.
Good luck

Actually, I have done what you described. It won't work. I have confirmed that it's actually a bug with Teamsite 5.52. SP2b patch is supposed to fix it. However, you are going to regret it if you install SP2b patch in production system (It has a bug that will not allow you to reverse content files back to previous version.).

We're bumping into the "File is not accessible" error, running TeamSite/Templating 5.5.2. Was there a final resolution to this situation? We have not installed sp2 or sp2b with hotfix.
There is nothing in any of the logs to tell us what's going on to cause the error. Our permissions seem to be fine -- users can work with existing files in the affected WORKAREA, they just can not create new content.
MattP
I would contact support with your specific version including patches.
