Attached is a sample to filter a table with chart interactivity (run and tested on BIRT iHub 3.1). The JSAPI Viewer may not have a handle to the crosstab, but I will double check.

There appears to be an issue with obtaining the handle to the crosstab in JSAPI so I have logged a ticket (JSAPI-410).
