<p>Hey, we are using Open Source BIRT version 4.4.1 and are using the BIRT viewer tag library to display reports in our web app. BIRT is deployed on the same server as our app.</p>

<p>I've noticed that the first report to open after starting the server will take extra time to load because the BIRT report engine has to start.</p>

<p>Is there a way to start the report engine when we start our server? So that the first report will not take longer to load.</p>

<p>Currently we are using tomcat, although we will probably be moving to jboss later.</p>
