Set Parameter default value as first value of data set

<p>By default, a Listbox Parameter that is not sorted should return a list in the order it was received from the database query.</p>
<p>Also by default, a listbox parameter should be populated with the first value returned as the default value.</p>

<p>But in my case parameter is hidden, so when you run report it will show error (Required Parameter is blank) and I cannot make "Is Required" option as False because I want the report to generate data with first customer number and thereafter user can change value from dropdown and select another customer number.</p>

<p>Is there any thing that we can do under "getDefaultValueList" function of Parameter..like default value of parameter should be first/top row of data set.</p>

<p>Or anything that we can do under beforeFactory() function.</p>

<p>Or declaring a variable and initialize that variable as first row of data set and set it back to parameter default value?</p>

<p>If you make the parameter hidden, then how are you allowing the user to select a value from a dropdown box?</p>
