custom portals for different clients

<p>Hi,</p>
<div>A while ago we modified our iHub (3.1) installation (modded login.jsp) to show a custom login screen (showing a corporate logo). After our client's users log in (LDAP) they get directed to a personalised custom "landing page", showing links to the dashboards they are authorised to see.</div>
<div>Landing page and dashboards/reports are further personalised to render in custom fonts (our customers corporate identity). To achieve this our reports are themed and styled using a custom rptlibrary file. We also modified several css files in our iHub installation.</div>
<div>When we created this setup, and it works beautifully, we only had one corporation as client, but we expect our customerbase to expand (i.e more corporations with more users) and would like to offer our new customers the same levels of personalization.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>What would be the best way to achieve this? Preferably with zero extra (licensing) costs, and with a minimum of hassle for our system administrators.</div>
<div> </div>

<p>For your customized CSS and landing pages, they are a part of Information Console (i.e. to confirm, you only modified login.jsp and some CSS files)?<br><br>
So the purpose of this approach and the ultimate goal is to have a customized login page for each customer? What level of customization did you do (logo, color, font, etc...)?<br><br>
How many customers do you anticipate?<br><br>
How does the LDAP come into play? One LDAP per customer, or an LDAP for all customers?</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Is your Information Console a standalone, or embedded with iHub?</p>
<p>As far from a licensing perspective, you have have as many as Information Consoles as you want running as long as you are licensed for iHub/iServer. That is, separate Information Console for each customer if you have a handful of customers, or you can implement a single login.jsp that would detect a flag or something in the URL that would determine the customization to load.</p>
