Error with DataDeploy

When I run the iwdd.ipl command to deploy data from an xml file to db2 database, I am getting the following error. I am using DD on AIX. Any suggestion ?

#iwdd.ipl conf=/opt/interwoven/datadeploy/conf/someXML.xml deployment=xml-to-db
DataDeploy version 5.5.2 Build 11360 Interwoven 20020908
TeamSite_Templating data_root is set to templatedata
ERROR:ERROR: Unable to determine operation mode

Sounds to me like your templating.cfg file is nto set-up correctly or your templatedate directory is not set-up correctly. I would need to see you config file.
