\n (newline) in .properties file is ignored

Hello,
 
Using .properties files to localize content in our reports I find that \n (newlines) are ignored when running the report. I am using ResourceBundleEditor (Eclipse plugin) to edit the .properties files and this is working okÃ©. 
 
But when I run the report the \n characters are ignored.

Are you using '\n' for the new line? Works for me see attached.

Seems like I had the text in a "Text item". When I place the text in a label it is working as expected.
