Scheduled Job Information for a report.
Abhishek Birjepatil

Hi,

We are writing our custom emitter which sends an email.

The custom emitter will be scheduled to run at a particular time.

The scheduled job will also have a list of users who should be notified with email as an attachment.

Is it possible to get the email ids of the users that have been scheduled to get the email in the emitter?

Best Regards,

Abhishek.

You've tagged this post with "iHub" so does that mean you are using iHub and if so, what version?

The emitter will not know the scheduled job's list of users. You'll need to use an IDAPI call to get the job schedule information, and in your case the list of users' email addresses.

You can also send email from a report. Check out this DevShare @ <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='

Hi Clement,

Thank you for your reply.

We are using iHub 16 for our reporting.

Our requirement is to save reports on a network folder and email users a link to the file.

We have achieved saving the report [XLS,XML] by tweaking the emitters.

As you mentioned, the emitter does not have information about the scheduling information, we could use the IDAPI calls to get the list of user email addresses.

Is the following approach correct?

1. Get the Auth Token

2. Get Jobs . [/ihub/v1/jobs ‑H "AuthId:%RESTAuthId%"]

3. Filter out jobs with respect to time.["nextStartTime": ] [From JSON]

4. Get Job ID for that particular job.

5. Then get the users subscribed for this job.

Thanks.

Best Regards,

Abhishek.

REST API does not have the ability to get a list of email recipients, although an enhancement request has been file to augment the REST API functionality. IDAPI can but you’ll need use GetJobDetails to get a list of users, then get the users’s email.

I believe you're also working with Support on this. Can you tell me more about your requirement? So far, from what I gather, you want to schedule a report with a list of user's emails, and have that report saved to a network, and then have a notification to the list of users that their report is ready? What format should their report be saved as?
