Reread the $ENV{"PATH"}

Is there a way for TeamSite to Reread the $ENV{"PATH"} without restarting TeamSite?

I have a perl script called from a DNR that calls a java program

my $tmpcmd = `java -jar

\\rsacms\\rsa_entitle_batch.jar`;
no matter what I do I can't get it to run. I think I need to put

\\rsacms in the SYSTEM..

I tried doing it in the script but no soap
#my $oldPATH = $ENV{"PATH"}; # save previous path
#$ENV{"PATH"} = "$oldPATH\;D:\\rsacms";
still didn't run. # The only way I got this to work was from the OD config to specify d:\rsacms in the "where" clause of the DNR..
but I'm looking to get around that becasue we need it to run some where else

<p>Your technique of setting the environment variable inside the script should work fine.

<p>The only thing I can think of is to make sure that java is in the path that DNR is using.

Is this DNR running on the Base Server or the Receiver?
Do you have TeamSite installed?

If the DNR is running on the Base Server and you have TeamSite installed - you might be able to set something up so that you run java from a location relative to IWHOME (assuming that you are running java from someplace relative to IWHOME)

Something like:

use TeamSite::Config;
my $iwhome = TeamSite::Config::iwgethome();
my $java = "$iwhome\\tools\\java1.3\\bin\\java.exe"
...

or - perhaps better yet - as it doesn't require TeamSite to be installed (assuming the ENV exists):

my $java = $ENV{IWODHOME} . '\jre\bin\java.exe';
...

It's running on the base..
TS is installed..
It's not that it can't find java...I am sure of that(I did a $tmpcmd =`java -version`; print LOG $tmpcmd Smiley Wink

...it is the fact that the jar file rsa_entitle_batch.jar needs to be run from the

\\rsacms directory.

So it's the CLASSPATH environment you're trying to set - not the PATH.
And that path isn't consistant from TS server to TS server?
And there's no way you could place that file somewhere within IWODHOME or IWHOME to make it more easily referenced via other environment paths?
