Border issue in pdf
arunsrkr

Hi All,

I am using one chart in my report. For this chart we are displaying legends as a text element. For text element we are drawing black border. But in pdf the border is not looking good. If we are increasing the zoom size then the border also changing. for 60% zoom the border edges are not good. but if we see in 300% zoom the border edges are good.

Regards,

Arun

Are you referring to when viewing a PDF on your monitor and you see the borders not align properly (See attached BorderIssue.png)?

This can happen due to the PPI of your display vs the PPI of the PDF you are viewing (See attached BorderPPI.png).

Printing the PDF to paper (300+ dpi) typically will not show the border offset effect due to its higher DPI than your monitors lower PPI.

Try changing the PPI of the PDF viewer (Adobe Reader -> Edit -> Preferences) to see if this corrects the appearance of your borders on your screen.

*Note: Changing the zoom level after changing the viewing PPI can still cause the effect on your monitor due to zoom level vs PPI of your display.
