Strange report behavior (date based)
CodeRookie

Good morning, all! So, we have run into a weird situation that we haven't seen before with one of our reports. A bit of background on the report:

It displays the inventory of our scrap yard at the moment the report is run.

It only looks at the current fiscal year and open fiscal period (So today would be 2017 / 07, we run July -> June FY)

We closed the old reporting period (6) and opened the new reporting period (7) yesterday afternoon.

The report ran fine yesterday morning, but today it just displayed a blank table.

I ran the report queries directly against the DB tables, and they returned the correct info.

The weird thing is, if I hard code the fiscal year and period into the query, it runs fine and populates the table. It just won't pass the info through the parameters......

We looked at other database areas that may have secondarily affected the data, but found nothing out of the normal.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks,

Scott

Scott, try logging to a file the actual query that gets sent to the database (in the beforeOpen event).

Thanks for info, Mica. We found what the issue was. We switched fiscal year periods last year (from June->May to July->June), and had a script that would take care of old FY info vs new FY info. A number was wrong in the script, but once we changed it, the report ran fine.

Have a great afternoon!
