Both APIs are REST based.

LinkedIn API

;

Twitter API

You can either use a scripted data source / data set. Or use an ODA that has been developed by the community. There are at least two Twitter ODAs that I am aware of:

Twitter ODA (from https://github.com/MApps-Actuate/TwitterDashboard)

;

-- UI ODA .jar @ https://github.com/MApps-Actuate/TwitterDashboard/blob/master/com.actuate.birt.labs.data.oda.twitter.ui_1.1.0.v20130805.jar

;

-- ODA .jar @ https://github.com/MApps-Actuate/TwitterDashboard/blob/master/com.actuate.birt.labs.data.oda.twitter_1.1.0.20130805.jar

;

You will need to get your own Twitter API key credentials for the above ODA.

Another ODA (on DevShare)

http://developer.actuate.com/community/forum/index.php?/files/file/751-twitter-json-search-oda-plug-in-2-birt/

;

I have used the first ODA up to the latest commercial BIRT version, iHub 16, and it should work in OS BIRT too.

You'll need to get the Twitter API credentials from the Twitter Developer site after signing up and creating an app.

This site has detailed steps (<a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='

Hi Clement,

My main focus is to getting data only.When i get into the page,it asks application name,website URL.I dont know to how to fill it.Please guide me.Thanks in advance.

Thanks,

Sorry, but it should be straight forward as to what the Twitter Developer API sign up page is asking. For application name, do you have a project name for example? For URL, do you have a URL for your app? If not, you should be able to just use your company's URL.
