All,
I am able to successfully run iwsyncdb.ipl. The X_dd.cfg files are created for all data-type/category combinations.

My question is, are the tables (base and delta) for the WORKAREA actually created? How am I able to verify this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To Register tables you need to run iwsyncdb.ipl -initial ....

Check the log files <ddhome>/log/iwddd.log file for any errors related to database operations.

Looks like your db connection string is invalid. Check tnsnames.ora file for the correct value.
