BIRT Using Table Aggregations in a Chart Example

Before BIRT 2.3.0 was released, it was more difficult to use aggregations from your table groups in your chart. Still 2.3.x didn't have the ability to inherit the groups and columns when you embedded the chart in the table and used the "container" as the source. You had to try to perform the same groupings in your chart editor. With 2.5.0+, when you use your table as a source or put your chart within your table and use the container as the source for the chart, you can now use the groupings and aggregations you did in the table, in your chart.<br />

The attached example shows how to use group total aggregations when embedding your chart in the table and when using the table as the source for the chart.<br />
