Managing Logs and Editions
wolfman
I've been tasked with finding the best way to manage the growing number of log files and editions taking up room on the server. Ideally, we'd like something that would delete logs and editions that are X days old. We can easily write a script or schedule a task to do this. We're wondering if there's anything native to TeamSite that's preferable to 3rd party solutions. Thanks :-)

Have you considered using the event trigger iwatpublish to kick off the script that manages your editions? That's what we use and it just does its thing - keeping the desired number of editions and removing old ones after the threshold is met.

Another approach would be to run a script manually or as a cron job that will clean up old editions.
Somebody has already posted a script on these forums.
Hope that helps
