Data mapping example
bhanley
This sample will map the value of "0.0" to be displayed as "N/A" on the finished report. The column headers will indicate the mapping method used, so use that as a guide. Val1 is mapped via an in-line expression on the Data Item. Double-click the Val1 data item to see the expression. Val2 is mapped via a cell-based map set up in the properties pane of the Eclipse IDE.

You will need to update the data source to point to the location of the bundled CSV to actually see the report run.

The report is built on BIRT 2.3, and the data are attached in CSV form so you should not need anything additonal to try this out yourself.

Good Luck!
