Call BIRT report using Batch File

Hello all,<br />
<br />
You must have burt_runtime folder in C:\<br />
<br />
You also can keep your .rptdesign files in C:\some folder<br />
<br />
You must installed java.<br />
<br />
You can create .bat file which call your birt report and generate pdf file as per following.<br />
<br />
Following is the code of runReport.bat file :<br />
<br />
Set BIRT_HOME=C:\birt_runtime\birt-runtime-2_6_2\<br />
<br />
C:\birt_runtime\birt-runtime-2_6_2\ReportEngine\genReport.bat -p "Roleid=5396" -p "Reportmonth=6" -p "Reportyear=2011" -f pdf C:\cap2Report\s14_cap2_report.rptdesign <br />
<br />
First line will set environment variable for your birt runtime engine.<br />
<br />
second line call your genReport.bat and I am passing three variable here using -p<br />
<br />
and "C:\cap2Report\s14_cap2_report.rptdesign" is for your birt report design.<br />
<br />
Save the file and double click on that...will generate pdf file(It takes some time if report is large)<br />
<br />
Enjoy birt reporting...<br />
<br />
If you are using jdbc driver then put them into "C:\birt_runtime\birt-runtime-2_6_2\ReportEngine\plugins\org.eclipse.birt.report.data.oda.jdbc_2.6.2.r262_v20110127\drivers" folder<br />
