Weird entries in Micro Log following Error

Recently experienced this error on OpenDeploy (v5.5.1 on W2K). This error is recorded in the odbase log as:

ENG: 2003-03-14 08:31:12 CST GMT-06:00 ***ERROR - Deployment od_bp_com2003 is already running. Request to start it now cannot be done. Rejecting request.
ENG: 2003-03-14 08:31:12 CST GMT-06:00 ***ERROR - Failed starting deployment: od_bp_com2003
API: 2003-03-14 08:31:12 CST GMT-06:00 Error encountered while starting deployment od_bp_com2003
Error: DEPLOYMENT_NOT_QUEUED, Deployment od_bp_com2003 is already running. Request to start it now cannot be done. Rejecting request.

We are running TeamSIte based edition comparison as a basis for what files are deployed. In the micro log for this deployment a rather strange entry appears:

(2) client: [Fri Mar 14 08:31:13 2003] Comparing path[Y:\default\main\bp_com2003\EDITION\ed_0229\wwwroot] with prev path[Y:\default\main\bp_com2003\EDITION\ed_0229\wwwroot]

which would seem to be saying that the latest edition compared against itself. Is this how a deployment is failed by OpenDeploy, or is somethingh weird going on.

The configuration file for this deployment has not been tampered with (confirmed via the macro log).

Any ideas what could be going on here?!

The first error indicates you attempted to start a deployment when one with the same name was already running.

I would think if you compare an edition against itself, it would deploy nothing. I don't think OD will fail this case.

Are parameters being passed into the deployment config, for instance, to indicate which editions to compare?

In answer to you question, no. The deployment is set up to use 'EDITION' and 'IW_PREV' to work out what ed's to use so logically it should have compared to the previous one, not itself. I guess the big question here is why OD decided to do this!?
