Hello Community,

It has been quite a while that I got time to contribute to BIRT, hence thought of exploring something thats worth an evenings time.

There are many points through which BIRT can be extended. The simplest and quickest one is creating a custom aggregate function extension.

This example is of an aggregate function call
MEANDEVIATION that calculates the
mean deviation of a set of numbers. Attached is the source code and jar file. Place the jar file in the plugins directory of eclipse and the aggregate function will appear in the list of functions available in the dropdown while creating computed columns.

I urge BIRT enthusiasts to take a look at the source code as well just to realize how flexible and extensible BIRT is.
Any queries feel free to comment.
