BIRT Data Objects and Parameters

When you use a BIRT Data Object (DOB) as the data source in a report, the issue arises of how to bind report parameters values to query encapsulated in the DOB. <br />

The strategy described here places the smart code inside the DOB. The code extracts the parameter values from the Application Context and inserts the values into WHERE clauses in the query, before execution. <br />
<br />
The report developer does not have to do any binding or configuring of parameters other than defining report parameters.
