In the documentation(pg 135, metataggeradmin.pdf), there is a diagram which explains "Creating Index Files for Browsing and Searching".

In this diagram an arrow connects "metatagger.cfg" to your Application".

what does "your Application" signifies here.

I have no idea what "Your Application" means. Maybe they mean that you use metatagger.cfg to customerize MT to your requirements. Anyway metatagger.cfg is a config file that lives in the metatagger/conf directory. You can edit it there directly, but the best bet is to edit it indirectly using the MT Admin GUI (http://localhost:9080/mtadmin) and going to the "Configuration" menu.
