Method for creating install package for VB.net & DFC

I'm looking for information on deploying DFC along with a VB.net app. I'm not new to either .net or DFC but I have never had a situation where I needed create an install package that included DFC or had to install on a machine that did not already have DFC on it. Is this even possible ? I've found very little information on this subject. There was some discussion on the DFC.DLL but there are java / jvm requirements as well and my attempts to package the application this way ran into problems with the JVM.

I'm assuming that DFC must be licensed for distribution but I can't find any information on that either.

Is there a DFC MSI available ?

Has anyone deployed custom clients and if so how did you do it ?

any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

It seems a bit too late since it's November (2008) now but like you, I've been searching all over the web for this dll, until I stumbled upon this page where, very explicitly yet written in very small font as well, it says:

"Give the ASPNET user 'Read and Execute' permissions to dmcl40.dll and dfc.dll. These files are typically present in the c:\Program Files\Documentum\Shared folder"
