check in older version as current version with same version label

Hi all

I have a document with verison 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and 2.0,CURRENT

can i checkin the older version 1.2 as current version and make 2.0 older version

When i try in webtop ,I cannot check in the older version 1.2 as current version with the same version label ,rather it creates the branch version like 1.2.1.0

can this be overrided using DFS or DFC

Any help greately appreciated

No can do.

The only option available when checking in an older verson is branching.

Using a DFC I find a solution

IDfSysObject sysObj1;

sysObj1 = (IDfSysObject) session.getObject(new DfId("09000001800375b7"));

sysObj1.checkout ();

sysObj1.mark("CURRENT");

sysObj1.save();

This moves the Symbolic version label CURRENT ,from the CURENT version to the ObjectId we give

Keep in mind that making a version CURRENT does not preclude that branching has occurred.

One way to do it is to get the 1.2 content file and check it in as a new version.

I think this can be done, by editing the 1.2 version and then when you are going to check in then select

- Choose 1.2 (Same Version)

Use the show options

and check the box "Make this the current version"

so now you have the Version 1.2 as the Current Version.

Is not supposed, that file check in as CURRENT 2.1 ???
