CCI edit-URL and empty window

Hello,

I've got a question concerning the Casual Contributor Interface. When you edit an file using the edit action (example http://TS_SERVER/iw/webdesk/edit?vpath=/default/.../file.html)
the CCI opens a new browser window. Afterwards the CT is openend using some javascript code that runs in the empty window. Is it possible to suppress the opening of the empty window or to close this window automatically?

This is a known issue (Bug number 36260, for your reference). In TeamSite 5.5.2 SP 3, support for a workaround was added: you should be able to use the URL

/iw/webdesk/edit?vpath=...&done_page=CLOSE

to make the blank window close itself.
