Performance when creating document in DFS

Hi,

We are testing the DFS performance when creating objects in Documentum using ObjectService.Create function. Our tests show that time needed to import the first document in a row is 6X times more than the time needed to import other documents.

Any Ideas why is this happening?

Just some thoughts here, for anything more you'd probably have to turn on logging at the server (in log4j.properties) to see what exactly is going on but...

The first request you make will have to initialise the shared session in the session manager that is related to the context you are using, and there will be other related caching type functionality that I would guess are run on the first request using a specific context instance, and later calls with the same context would reuse the cache.
