Has anyone looked into replace FAST as the full text search engine that all FTDQL queries are serviced by? We've found that the out-of-box configuration makes the Content Server (Windows) load a DLL called FastQueryPlugin.DLL at startup which acts as the integration between FTDQL queries sent to the CS and the FAST Search server. There must be an API that the DLL codes against which would mean its possible to write your own replacement DLL to delegate FTDQL queries off to some other search engine. We're wondering if anyone has spent any time looking into this, possibly even discovered the API and produced their own DLL (or .so I guess)
Any thoughts / ideas greatly appreciated.
