I am having some problems creating PDF renditions using ADTS. The problem seems to be originating somewhere in the AdLib Exponent Manager service. HTML renditions work fine, both from Word and text.
The event log file for the exponent manager prints the error message “Message Queue service is not available ”. However, the “Message Queuing” service is running, and I am able to see it in the computer management console. I see that the MSMQ has the following private queues:
private$\msmqtriggersnotifications/
private$\em_jobactive/
private$\em_jobcomplete/
private$\em_jobfileactive/
private$\em_jobfileinput/
private$\em_jobinput/
private$\em_jobrequest/
private$\ec_jobfileinput/
private$\ec_jobinput/
private$\ec_jobactive/
These values were printed using a .NET console app, so the runtime is obviously able to make contact. I ran this small app using the same user account that is running all Adlib services, so authentication and authorization is not an issue either.
Below is the log message that says that the message queue service is not available:
<![CDATA[<EVENT>
2008-11-05
PeekNextJob for JobRequest - Error
JobRequestMonitor

get_ReadHandle
Message Queue service is not available.

Anyone seen this error message before?
Is there any way to get the stack trace for this exception by the way?
The Adlib Express service is also trying to print something in the event log, but the event viewer simply displays this:
“The description for Event ID ( 105 ) in Source ( Adlib Express Server ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: .”
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
