Documentum with ASP.NET 2.0

I find so little information on implementing Documentum on ASP.NET, and I happen to have a project that requires me to link documents from Documentum. I don't even know where to start. Is there a cretain dll that I have to reference in order to do this? If so, where can I get it? Please help. Any kind of reply is appreciated.

Glad I can help. To get the DFC installation files you will have to download the DFC installer from Powerlink

You will need a valid account to download the files. Check in your company if you have it. If you don't your customer must have it.

When you will run the DFC installer follow the procedure I have described earlier to install the PIA.

Your ASP.NET program will have to reference Documentum.Interop.DFC.dll. The default location for this dll is c:\Program Files\Documentum\Shared.

Before starting to develop it would be good to read Documentum Foundation Classes Development Guide .

In the previous post I made the asumption that you would be using DFC. From Documentum version 6 it is also possible(and recomended) to use DFS (SOA based approach). If you chose this approach a good starting point would be DFS Developement Guide

Thank you for your responses to my posts. I really appreciate it.

Apparently, I have version 5.3 with me. I also learned that for me to integrate Documentum with my ASP.NET web app, I have to get my hands on (1) DFC Runtime Environment and (2) DFC Primary Interop Assemblies. Where can I get these two? Is there a particular site I can download them from?
