Email Notifications in documentum

I have been trying to get email notifications working for the past three days without any success. i have gone through everything outlined in the Email_Notification_Troubleshooting_Guide.pdf, dctm-smtpmail-13.pdf and the Administrator's Guide but i still cant get it to work, i have entered the correct mail server in the server_config file and set the mail_notification = T and created the docbase owner account on the mail server.

The job notifications only go to the docbase owner inbox even if i have set the queueperson in the method arguments....

any body have an idea what i am missing, id appreciate the help.

OK lets start trouble shooting , couple of questions

1. Whats the OS and DCTM versions

2. Were the emails working ?

3. I assume the user object have been set with correct emails
