I've given up. I would still be making an ASP.NET web application that views documentum files, only, the one that would interface with Documentum is a Java class. My two reasons for abandoning DFC PIA was:
I know you guys are very helpful however, support is VERY limited. Believe me, I've seen many forums (about DFC PIA) where programmers are struggling just to setup the environment. Yes, i know there are documentations on how to implement it and I followed every single bullet of instruction and read between the lines, nonetheless my efforts seemed futile.
I managed to run a simple DFC call to work on ASP.NET but Webtop didn't
work after i made the configurations stipulated in the
documentations. Simply put, it was one over the other. I didn't know how to make both work. I posted a discussion about this but none replied (not that I'm complaining). Also, there are no threads that discuss the problem I had.
So I thought, "DFC are a bunch of Java classes right?" Perhaps talking to Documentum would be a thousand times simpler than it is with DFC PIA, thus my question:
Are there any configurations I have to make if I use Java to talk to Documentum? (Besides installing DFC)
A simple yes/no answer is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
