WDK Testing Framework hanging when recording test

I am using version 1.0 of the testing framework to try to create tests for a WDK application running on 5.3 SP6. I am unable to get it to work. I configure my recorder and begin recording, but when I try to perform any actions in the UI, the response never comes back from the server, nor does it times out. I'm unable to determine from the admin guide if my configurations are valid.

Has anyone else seen this issue with the test tool "hanging" during record? If anyone has some suggestions, please be so kind as to post them. I'm including a saved .state file in hopes that someone could see if there are any red flags in my configuration.

Hi,

Do you have the mandatory update installed as well? Is this for a custom WDK application, an out of the box EMC based WDK application (Webtop, DA, etc.) or a customized EMC application?

It is a custom WDK application. I tried both with and without the mandatory update. In the case with the mandatory update, I could not get the test even to start (or to log in to my app, for that matter) because I would encounter a javascript error when I tried to click on any form submit buttons in the app.

In each case I started from scratch with the base WDK .war, deployed my code into it, and then copied first the ATF and then in the case where I tried to use it, I applied the mandatory update.

I will try to get a copy of the .js error to paste into the discussion. If it makes any difference, I am using IE 7 as my browser.

Can you provide some information on how you're invoking the actions in the case where you're not using the mandatory update? Are any of the action controls being used and if so which one?

Hi Marc,

I too am facing the same issue as you did. Did you get any resolution for this? Whenever i click on any submit button, it takes lot of time to get response and leads to hung threads in application server. We use Websphere 5.1 and customised WDK application (SP6). Please let me know these details.
