get result set of oracle stored procedure

hi all

i need to get a result set from oracle stored procedure

i cannot use exec_sql, because i need not only true/false but a real result set of procedure

i want result set to show them in webtop grid

appreciate any help

Hi!

Hope your stored procedure does not use Documentum related tables as it's not really nice to do so. You could use JDBC in this case, set it up get back the results in a Vector, then you can pass that Vector to the datagrid's dataprovider.

does Documentum have its own opportunities to get result set of stored procedure?

Shortly: no, Documentum does not support this.

Alternatively there is APPLY call (IDfSession.apply() in DFC) with which you can do external calls to your custom methods but DO_METHOD method returns only true/false and maybe a result document (log) id. Administration methods can return a collection with precise results but you cannot define a new administration method.
