Documentum Development/Training

Hey, I worked with Documentum 5.3 back in 2005/2006. I spent about 2 years working with the WDK, Web Publisher/Administrator/Content Server/Web Cache/DQL/XML/XSLT etc. I completed certificates in Administrator/Publisher (prior to EMC acquiring the company).

My question is: Has Documentum 6.5 evolved so much that it would be considered quite a different platform to work with, or would my skills from 5.3 be enough to get me by?

Also, is it possible to download Documentum 6.5 for training/dev purposes?

There have been quite some changes in 6.5, however, your skills should be enough to get up to date quickly.

Regarding the download part of you post, as usual, all Documentum software can be downloaded from the Download Center, provided you/your company owns the product and paid the maintenance fee.

You may also want to check with Education and Training. New "Delta" course are available to get Documentum folks up to speed on the new version.
