Logging / tracking Workflows in Documentum

Hi together!

Hope anybody in here can help me. I'm writing a thesis on performance modelling. I want to trace the workflows, which are modelled with documentum workflow manager. (Documentum 5.3 SP3)

The desired result would be a log file like:

TimeStamp (incl. Milliseconds) | WorkflowID | Activity | Status_Message

Status_Message would be something like Start Processing and Done

My question now is now is this possible at all and how much effort does it cost.

Would be great if someone can help me out.

Hi Florian,

You could turn on the dm_all_workflow Audit trail event. In this case all workflows events are recorded in the dm_audittrail records. Timestamps are recorded in milliseconds, only Documentum Administrator does not return that so you have to analyze the results with an SQL client (SQL Developer for example) directly in the database (looking at dm_audittrail_s table).
