In the instruction documentation they mention that you can store content in a DB instead of a local data store or share. I do not see this as an option when installing Documentum though. Can anyone give me some tips? Thanks.
Check the Content Administrator's guide and look for the section entitled "Setting up blob storage" which is what you'd want to do.
Keep in mind that blob storage ends up being very costly in terms of database resources. It's the Achilles heel of SharePoint in my mind. There's more benefits to not using blob storage, but your situation may be different.
